Baby on Board
"Baby on Board, how I've adored
That sign on my car's windowpane.
Bounce in my step, loaded with pep
'Cause I'm drivin' in the carpool lane."
This song from Homer Simpson's Barbershop Quartet, the "Be-Sharps", has been in my head ever since the Lord blessed us with the expectation of our first child. This is the first post on what I hope keeps all of you updated on this miracle.
Shae is due on April 29. We had our sonogram on Decemeber 22 and found out as our gift to ourselves on Christmas morning that we are having a boy. While we would have been excited with either, I have to confess I am excited about having a boy to carry on the family name. If we can get the picture of the sonogram scanned, we will post it on the blog as well.
It is our wish that this site becomes the place where we can keep you all informed on our baby news both during the pregnancy and after the birth of our Covenant Child. I guess the next step is to try and figure out a name, which may take a while, but hopefully it will be sooner than later. And, for those of you who are wondering, it is not going to be the fourth!
"Call me a square, friend, I don't care
That little yellow sign cannot be ignored,
I'm tellin' you it's mighty nice
Every trip's a trip to paradise
With my baby on board!"
Bo
