Gifts and Purchases as of 2/25/06!

Mimi and Aunt Leah came to visit this weekend. Aunt Leah brought a cute baseball outfit and told us our next gift was in the mail. Well, it (a green frog hooded wrap) showed up today while she was visiting. Mimi (Bo's mom) bought us 2 fitted sheets for our bassinet. The bassinet has been in the family since 1974 when Bo was born. It was made by Mimi's mother...aka Bo's MeMaw! The bassinet is jumbo in size which is not the smaller typical size of most bassinets on the market today...so we are finding it difficult to find bedding to fit. However, we were able to find a mattress for the bassinet. (dimensions-2" x 14 1/2" x 31 1/2" oval)

Bo and I bought our crib bumper and quilt. We couldn't wait for the generosity of friends and family to make that purchase due to a Pottery Barn Kids crisis! The bumper was discontinued and the quilt was on back order and not available. So we called PBK and were told these items were no longer available online...WHAT...that can't be. I told the sales clerk that these items were a must for our baby's room and she had to do something. So she called around to find a store that may have the remainder of these items in stock...AND...We bought the bumper from Massachusettes and the quilt (not yet received) from Pennsylvania! That was a close call.

We received our travel system on Thursday. It was a gift from Shae's parents...Gerry and Pam! Now we have something to bring baby home in...but we need Daddy Bo to figure out how to put the base of the seat into the car...EEKS...should be a breeze :-)

Hi Bo & Shae,
Thanks for your comment on the blog! We have been watching yours and hope you saw the link to it on Jonathan's. I'm so glad you've made it past the big "30" mark. That's a big milestone, and I really thought things started going FAST after that. Can't wait to hear more news! You'll just love having a boy. :)
Love,
Amy
